Powerful and very sharp. Spatchcocked chicken is one of the things my family loves me to make, but it is always a battle using the kitchen shears that came with our knife set. I fight with it and, although I always win, it comes at a cost - generally pain. These heavy-duty kitchen shears really fixed this problem for me because they allow me to cut through bones like they are paper. I found the blades to be razor sharp, and the design of the handles is engineered to produce an extremely high level of force on the blades. The amount of force required to cut through things is so dramatically reduced from what I am used to. They are very easy to use and perfect for everyone, from a senior citizen with arthritis to a catering chef who needs a sharp and reliable set of shears for large jobs. They are nicely designed out of what appears to be rust-resistant material and have maintained their sharp edge through at least 20 uses since I got them. Overall, a great value for the money because they cost far less than they are worth to me.
