Separates And Rejoins Easily. When I am not on the road I am using the kitchen to make food up to take with us on the road. This means cooking from scratch all the time and preserving that food in portions suitable for the RV.<br /><br />Making things from scratch is nice because they taste so much better and are often cheaper than box stuff. However, if you are breaking down a whole chicken or the side of a salmon or even a rack of ribs you need a good pair of kitchen shears.<br /><br />I was gifted a good pair many years ago, but after about three decades it is time to retire that pair and I have had my eyes open for a new pair.<br /><br />I was super lucky to get this pair.<br /><br />These are easy to handle despite being heavy duty. These will also cut through the thicker bits of sinew and gristle. I think they will even cut through some bones.<br /><br />For cleaning and sharpening (crucial for sharpening) these easily come apart. They are just as easy to put back together.<br /><br />The safety feature that holds the blades together is also easy to manipulate and nice to have.<br /><br />These have a pretty good sized footprint; they are not dainty little things so they do not store as easily and won't be going in the RV (they would take up too much of the drawer). These will be perfect for the times we are at the house and preparing meals for taking on the road.<br /><br />Good kitchen shears.
