They are nice and sturdy and hold up extremely well. The black color is pretty classic and works fine with many of your glass or tumbler options. One side of the straw is tapered with a point which makes it very easy if you need to puncture a cup cover to access your drink. Can't say they are cheap, but they also are not cheaply made. Pretty good quality, actually. You certainly will be receiving an upgraded straw made especially for all of those various thicker types of beverages and treats.
